What’s Happening in Dacula GA

As a proud resident of Dacula, my family and I have had the opportunity to eat at some of the best local restaurants in the area. I was thinking this morning about what my favorite place to eat was and wanted to throw it out to everyone to let me know what is the one place in Dacula that you cannot go a month without visiting.

This does not need to be a Dacula physical address but close by, let’s say within a 10 minute drive of your home.

For me there are a couple of places.

1. Caprese Pizza – I love pizza and this place has the best in town. Not saying there are other really good ones but…

2. The Harvest Table – Want great food in a down home type place. This is it. Southern Cooking at it’s best.

3. Iron Wok – Love this place. Great staff and the Volcano Shrimp is to die for!

I am open to new ideas so let me know if there is someplace that makes your mouth water just thinking about it.

Atlanta Absolute APPLIANCE Auction March 13th

Here is an incredible opportunity to purchase household appliances at the former Circuit City store in Atlanta this Saturday. My dear friend and client Suzanne Littlefield passed this information to me and asked me to share it.

The Jay Sugarman Auction Company is holding a absolute auction. There will be over 400 brand new GE appliances auctioned off to the highest bidder. Refrigerators, stoves, microwaves, washer and dryers and more. Doors open at 9am for inspection and the bidding starts at 11am.

If you are looking to upgrade your appliances for your home or if your home is for sale and needs a little bit of upgrading at a very reasonable price then this is the place you need to be.

First Time Home Buyers Rock!

Man I love working with first time home buyers.

I had the pleasure of meeting a couple this weekend that were referred to me from a previous first time buyer. They are looking to take advantage of the current housing market as well as the first time home buyer tax credit. $8,000 is a lot to give up if you are ready, willing and able to buy a home in the coming months.

This young couple have done exactly what they should have done to this point. First, they sought out advice from friends and family who have bought a home in the past and found a agent that they felt would Represent their best interests. Then, after speaking with me, they got pre-qualified for a loan which a lot of people do not do prior to going to look at homes (mistake on both buyer and agent side). We were able to get a pre-approval letter and now know what they can afford and took the guess work out of the process. We now have a budget set and can narrow our search.

While we were looking at homes we talked about the home buying process and what my role and what their responsibilities are during this exciting but stressful time. There will be many questions to answer but they know they can ask them without fear of thinking they are asking a “stupid” question. There is no question too small or complicated to answer. You need to know and get answers to all of your questions. I realize this is the first home and largest purchase you have ever made so keep asking.

We also were able to come to an understanding that if a house is not a fit, no need to waste our time walking through it.  There are a lot of homes out there that are simply not going to work. No need to go through for my sake.

Anyway, we found one that might be a possibility but there are more to look at. Lots of options right now to choose from. Can’t wait to find the perfect home for them and any other first time home buyers.

If you or anyone you know is looking to purchase their first home and wants someone that will take them through the process from start to finish and loves what they do, have them give me a call.
